Alpha 18 Taxi Services is a family run business operated by Bob and Jeanette Massey. We provide a private taxi hire service for central Mid Sussex on the East and West Sussex borders and regard the A272 corridor as “our patch” stretching from Hadlow Down (A264) in the East to Cowfold (A24 Buck Barn) in the West.

Our vehicles include medium and large saloons and a 6 passenger people carrier. All vehicles and drivers are licensed with Mid Sussex District Council. Mid Sussex District Council CRB police check all licensed drivers, carry out regular health and vehicle checks.

Green Credentials

All our petrol driven vehicles have been converted to run on LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). LPG is a clean and convenient source of energy in the UK that helps reduce emissions. Vehicles converted to run on LPG retain their original fuel system and can be run on either fuel which provides an instant back up if required. It is currently the most viable option as an alternative vehicle fuel in the UK and is generally similar to conventional fuels in terms of handling and ease of use, with real environmental and running cost benefits. By using LPG we are able to maintain an alternative source of fuel in case of petrol supply problems, and keep our costs down, and do our bit to help to reduce CO₂ emissions.
